Seven English Players Added to GB Women’s hockey Program for Olympic Paris
Seven athletes from England Hockey have been selected for the Great Britain women’s program for the Paris 2024 Olympics, and England Hockey is thrilled about it. Some of these athletes have already been chosen to represent Great Britain in the Games. Together with Holly Hunt as she has made two appearances. And Sophie Hamilton, who frolicked four games during the 2020/21 FIH Hockey Pro League.
Both performers have also characterized England at the junior level.
Alex Malzer has been nominated for her two appearances with GB in 2019. Goalkeeper Miriam Pritchard has also played at the senior level, having played twice for England. They will be joined by Sophie’s twin sisters, Olivia Hamilton, Darcy Bourne, and Lily Walker, all of whom have been part of the England U21 and Great Britain Elite Growth Programme set-ups in recent years.

The players have been nominated after impressing during the Talent Approval period. Which involves campsites at Bisham, World Cup qualification competitions, and junior international activity. That has been taking place over the previous few months. And officially linked the program as full-time players on Monday 10 January.
The Talent Confirmation procedure is continuing. Athletes will have further chances to compete for a spot in the men’s or women’s program in the coming weeks before the final groups are decided. The men’s talent validation group has already been narrowed down.
