Galligan said they enjoyed the day with Packer, a member of England’s 2014 Women’s Rugby World Cup-winning team. And hoped it would inspire more girls to take up the sport. The event was organized by Ben Rowe, Galligan’s uncle.
And he said he was pleased to bits to get his niece and Packer down to the academy. Dozens of girls were put through their paces by the England duo, who are making for their opening 2025 Women’s Six Nations game in contradiction of Italy on 23 March. Packer and Galligan gave the girls tips on passing.

Galligan said when she was new there was only a rare girl who frolicked the sport at youth level. So, having so numerous try-ups for the exercise session felt stimulating. It’s immobile kind of setbacks you away when you do go down and get 40 or 50 girls rotating up, the second row onward said.

She has won four Six Nations Grand Slam titles with England. In 2019, Packer played in all but one of England’s Women’s Rugby Super Series games and earned a full-time contract with the national team. However, an ankle injury sidelined her from the 2020 Six Nations Championship.
