Paul Collingwood, Tom Moody predict semi-finalists for T20 World Cup 2024
Former Australian cricketer Tom Moody has predicted the semi-finalists of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024, which will co-hosted by the USA and West Indies. Australia T20 World Cup 2024 victory will depend on experience.
In an interview with an Indian sports channel, Moody said Australia would maintain their record and play in the semi-finals. Secondly, he singled out India as the second most predictable team to reach the semi-finals. South Africa was his third choice due to their average level of play. Finally, he chose England because they had won the T20 World Cup twice.
“My first choice is Australia because their record in ICC tournaments is unmatched. The second choice would be India as they are a very good team with a lot of depth. They are strong in spin and have dynamic batting. Plus, they have a guy called Jasprit Bumrah, Moody said.”

England’s Proven Track Record in T20 World Cups
My third choice would be South Africa, who boast a very strong field, especially strong middle-order strikers. My final choice will be England, who have won this tournament before, he added.
Similarly, former England cricketer Paul Collingwood has given his predictions regarding the semi-finalists of the upcoming T20 World Cup. Collingwood, the winning captain of the 2010 T20, selected India, England, West Indies and Australia as semi-finalists for the tournament.
“I will obviously choose England. I think West Indies, playing on their own soil, have a good understanding of the size of the pitch. Australia always manages to perform well in world tournaments. My fourth choice is India, Collingwood explained.”

All teams will divided into four groups; A, B, C and D. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the Super Eight round. The Super Eight will then divided into two groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals.
