Australia chief selector George Bailey confirmed Cummins had opted for paternity leave and was awaiting further medical assessment of his sore ankle. Bailey said the team will have more information about the condition of the Cummins once the scan results received.
“Pat will obviously be on maternity leave soon. He’s got a bit of pain in his ankle too, so he’ll have a scan in the next week or so and we’ll get a bit more information about where that is in, Bailey said as quoted by India Today.”
