“We are dedicated to minimizing our impact on the environment while offering community gatherings in an environmentally sustainable way,” Nelita explains. While it’s a time for celebration for humans, Tauranga City Council’s Team Leader for Animal Services, Brent Lincoln, advises keeping a watch on your dogs during the celebrations as fireworks can be scary for them.

“The majority of us appreciate the exploding and vivid colours of firework displays, however, our furry friends are unlikely to be as delighted,” Brent explains. Keep in mind all your household wildlife, regardless of size, are warm and safe for the night.”

Alexandra Palace is another well-liked location for social gatherings.
