The Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers, and New England Patriots were all likely to struggle this season, as we had anticipated. Ultimately, the sum is found to be between two to seven. However, the combined record of the Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, and Baltimore Ravens is likewise 2-7, which surprised us a little. Nothing in the NFL is guaranteed. Every week, some teams will surprise everyone and some will do poorly.
Plenty of exciting matchups
There are plenty of exciting matchups on the Week 4 schedule, including the highly anticipated NFC North meeting between the Vikings and Packers, the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers playoff rematch, and the Sunday night game between AFC contenders the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens.

That being said, Thursday’s game probably revealed more about how awful the Giants are than how excellent Dallas is. There didn’t seem to be any simple solutions to many of the issues that have beset the Cowboys recently, which is concerning for a club that hopes to win the Super Bowl. This cleared up any question about the Cowboys’ offensive one-dimensionality going forward. They had yet another difficult time moving the ball; they only managed 80 yards at an average of 3.5 yards per carry.
Then there is a defense that the Baltimore Ravens and New Orleans Saints have shredded over the last two weeks. Although Dallas had terrible performances the previous two weeks and managed to keep New York out of the end zone and stop the run, it was outgained during the game.
That’s just…ouch.
In addition, Micah Parsons, an edge rusher, may not be fully recovered after being taken off the field during the fourth quarter. Losing the three-time Pro Bowler for any length of time may be disastrous for a defense that is already having a lot of trouble.
The only thing the Cowboys demonstrated on Thursday night was their ongoing “rivalry” with a lower-tier club. Dallas is still a one-dimensional team that relies heavily on passes and has dubious defensive performance. Daniel Jones at quarterback represents the New York Giants as they are now.
New York Giants defeated the Dallas Cowboys
The last time the New York Giants defeated the Dallas Cowboys was forever and a day ago. Daniel Jones blasted the G-Men in their most recent encounter. However, he told reporters before the game on Thursday that the Giants were prepared and that he had learned from past losses.
“According to him, I’ve studied, seen more, played more, and gotten better. Undoubtedly, the previous attempt did not go well, but we are optimistic because this is a fresh squad. We’re thrilled about the possibility as both them and we are new teams. Last week there was a spark after New York went to Cleveland and prevailed. Perhaps there is something unique about these Giants.”
A classic example of the long-standing competition between these NFC East teams was the Dallas Cowboys 20, New York Giants 15 match on January 2, 2022. Despite the Cowboys’ historical dominance in the rivalry, contests like this one frequently highlight the hard-fought defensive struggles that characterize their meetings.
