France has a single quota for both the men’s and women’s categories because it is the host nation. The Tripartite Commission of the International Olympic Committee will additionally allocate two quotas to the Universality Places (IOC).

For each of the 14 Olympic boat classes, there will be three opportunities to complete the quota at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games:

1. World Rowing Championships in 2023

336 participants (168 men and 168 women) will compete at the 2023 World Rowing Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, from September 3–10, 2023, with a chance to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games.

The competition is open to all NOCs that have national Member Federations and are World Rowing members. According to the qualification quota, the boats will qualify for their National Olympic Committee based on the crews that finished first or second in each event.

2. In 2023, Continental Qualification Regattas

64 competitors (32 men and 32 women) will have the opportunity to advance at four continental qualification regattas: Asia/Oceania, Africa, the Americas, and Europe. The NOCs can qualify through those events if they haven’t participated, haven’t qualified in any classes, or have qualified just one boat for the 2023 World Rowing Championships.

The triumphs of Stefanos Ntouskos in the single scull and Fintan McCarthy and Paul O’Donovan in the men’s lightweight double sculls rank among Tokyo 2020s most heartfelt moments. In rowing, both nations took home their first gold medals.

Chinese athletes also made a podium appearance at Tokyo 2020, winning one gold and two bronze medals. They will be the ones to watch in Paris 2024 once more. One of the top rowing nations in the world, Great Britain, only managed to take home two medals from Tokyo, and the US went home empty-handed as the women’s eight placed fourth in their bid for a fourth consecutive gold medal.

In the women’s lightweight double sculls, Laura Tarantola and Claire Bove. Who were both young enough to race in their home Games, won a silver medal.

They might have competition from Italy’s Valentina Rodini and Federica Cesarini, who narrowly won gold in Tokyo by 0.14 seconds. Romania’s Ancuta Bodnar and Simona Radis won the gold medal in the double sculls with ease. They are both 22 years old, so they should be around for Paris and beyond.

The young crew from the Netherlands won the men’s quadruple sculls by setting a world record. Croatia also hopes to relive its most memorable Olympic rowing moments as brothers Martin and Valent Sinkovic made history in Tokyo by adding a gold medal in the pairs to their double sculls success from Rio 2016.

Olympics 2024: I beg you to include skateboarding in the GCSE curriculum.

“Teach skateboarding to bring young people to the Olympics,”

This is the message being sent to schools. 14-year-old Carmarthenshire resident Osian George aspires to participate in the Paris Olympics 2024.

He worries that he and others would lose out on important sporting support. After learning that skateboarding could not be included in his sport GCSE. The existing list of activities will be revisited in 2025. According to the exam authority WJEC.

Since he was five years old, Osian from the Gwendraeth Valley in Carmarthenshire has been skating. His passion has always been skateboarding, and he spends every free moment practicing new moves and techniques. Paris Olympic 2024 fans can buy Paris Olympic 2024 Tickets from our website.

To win the Olympic 2024 skateboarding competition one day.

He stated: “It is a truly enjoyable activity. It keeps me occupied, and I enjoy learning new things and improving “I feel so much better and happier because of it.”

Skateboarding is such a great sport, and now that it is part of the Olympics,

He admitted that learning that his skating could not contribute toward his Physical Education certification. Or be included in the curriculum while he is currently pursuing his GCSEs left him “extremely upset.”

“I found it hard to believe. Skateboarding is such a great sport, and now that it is part of the Olympics. It has advanced significantly since it was first introduced “explained he.

“Since I’ve been skateboarding my entire life, I want it to help with my academics.

The kid responded, “If it were on the test, I could raise my grades and work on my talents more. I have spent my entire life doing this, therefore I have a lot of knowledge in this area. It is very significant to me.”

He claimed that schools frequently exclusively teach traditional sports, excluding students who desire to participate in alternative activities.

“Most people want to try something new; not everyone wants to play football, rugby, or cricket. Osian clarified that it is pleasurable and is not something you can constantly get better at.

“I don’t see how we will get people to the Olympics if we don’t give them the opportunity to do it,” the speaker said.

It’s something that must take place.” Osian is still certain that he will realize his goals. I’m going to try to make it to the 2024 Olympics, and I’m now just trying, trying, trying. In Tokyo in 2022, skateboarding made its Olympic debut in the street and park categories. Due to this widespread awareness, more people than simply Osian want skateboarding to be taught in schools.

Professional BMX rider

James Jones, a member of the Freestyle BMX Team GB for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, emphasized the importance of providing children with the resources they need to advance in many sports.

“You are trained in swimming, football, rugby, and other sports, yet here is a youngster who excels at skateboarding, and possibly his tutors are ignorant of how good he is or have seen him ride,” the Swansea player added.

They should visit and observe how talented these youngsters are.

skateboarding is very important Olympic Sport

“These kids may not be interested in playing football or rugby, but skateboarding is very important to them, and they now need a platform to continue playing their sport,” the author said.

Skateboarding and BMXing, he claimed, are both relatively young sports with different supporters.

“We need more skate parks to assist these kids to achieve their goals. BMX is much smaller than skateboarding, and they require more assistance “explained him.

Dai Thomas, a county councilor for Carmarthenshire, is dismayed that Osian cannot take skateboarding for a GCSE, Osian is a really skilled skateboarder. In the future, he might compete at that level and bring gold back to Wales.

Getting boarding included in the curriculum would greatly increase his chances. According to a WJEC representative,

“Based on a consultation in 2015, our current GCSE in Physical Education incorporates a broad range of activities.”

They added that as part of the new curriculum, which will be taught beginning in. They will be “seeking feedback on broadening the range of activities in the physical education activities list. And that they are committed to including a wider range of opportunities and experiences, Then currently on offer is the new curriculum, which will be taught starting in 2025.

Skateboarding was sadly not chosen as an activity to be included

I hope it will be added, but it will be too late for Osian, which is unfortunate, stated Mr. Thomas. Since he was five years old, Osian from the Gwendraeth Valley in Carmarthenshire has been skating. His passion has always been skateboarding, and he spends every free moment practicing new moves and techniques. To win the Olympic skateboarding competition one day.

I have spent my entire life doing this, therefore I have a lot of knowledge in this area. It holds a lot of significance for me.
