Rugby World Cup: Australia Set to Host All Matches Across Seven Cities
The Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 will be the 11th edition of the tournament, which is held every four years and features the best men’s teams in international rugby union. The event will run from October 1 to November 13, 2027, Rugby World Cup Final, with all matches hosted in Australia.

Rugby World Cup 2027: Australia Confirmed in Pool A as Host Nation
Depending on the results, the last remaining berth could go to a nation from Africa, Europe, Oceania, or South America. Once the final spot is filled, World Rugby will conduct the official tournament draw on December 3 in Sydney.
This will be a milestone moment, as it marks the first time in Rugby World Cup history. The draw will take place only after all qualifying teams have been confirmed. Teams will be divided into four bands of six based on the World Rugby Rankings at the end of the November international window.
The lone exception is host nation Australia, which is already locked into Pool A. The format will also shift from four pools of five teams to six pools of four. From there, the tournament proceeds through the standard elimination format until only one champion remains. Australia was the first nation to officially qualify, having secured hosting rights in May 2022.
