The winner of the eight-team qualifying round will return to France after 14 months as Africa 1 at RWC 2023. The Africa 1 qualifiers have been drawn in Pool A with New Zealand, host country France, Italy and Uruguay.

Senegal or Algeria will then face the winner of the quarter-final between Uganda and East Africa, rivals Kenya for a place in the final.

Ahead of the final, which will decide Africa’s representative at RWC 2023, a bronze medal final will be held on July 10, as well as play-offs for fifth and seventh place.
