Beirne has become a key part of Andy Farrell’s Ireland squad, making his entrance against Australia on the 2018 summer tour and appearing in every match of the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

He has also been named to the 2021 British and Irish Lions squad for the first two Tests against the Springboks in the series.
