Broncos Vs Jaguars: Jacksonville Jaguars star prepared for new era under Super Bowl-winning head coach

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram meets Mirror Sport in London to talk about Doug Pederson, Trevor Lawrence and his newfound environment after leaving the New York Giants. Nothing says the 2022 NFL season is just around the corner like a Hall of Fame game.  NFL London fans to buy NFL London Tickets from our website.

Last night the Jacksonville Jaguars played their first preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders at the Holy Land in Canton, Ohio.

With no starter on either team, the Raiders won 27-11 to kick off Josh McDaniels’ Las Vegas hire with the right foot, but the game was against Jacksonville. Saying symbolizes something else. It was the beginning of an era: a new head coach, a new No. 1 overall pick and a slew of new players coming in through free agency.

Evan Engram is one of the new faces signed to push the Jaguars out of the NFL basement. The tight end was drafted by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2017 draft and struggled to find his form after an electric start followed by a series of dips.

Engram is reportedly a shy man, and his relatively closed body language bears that sentiment. But he was excited when we met some Jaguars on the London tour this off-season.

He spoke enthusiastically about the Giants and how he settled in Florida. After five years with the Big Apple but why did he choose to sign with Jacksonville 3-14 after the season?

“Man, I have a pretty good feeling about the chances of Doug Pederson coming in,” Engram told Mirror Sport exclusively.

“He has a long history with many successful tight ends. Trevor Lawrence is a young quarterback with so much talent – he just needs the right players around him. Free agency is a crazy process, but I absolutely believe I have that done. Finally found the right place.”

His answers soon revealed a new proven head coach and a generation of quarterback talent entering his sophomore season. Let’s start with Doug Pederson.

Last season, the Jaguars were hopelessly plagued by the worst coaching spell in league history. Urban Meyer’s rap involved breaking the practice rules, kicking his kicker and not flying back with his team after a road loss. So that he inappropriately beat a record of 2-11. Before 58 his wife’s young wife before the end of the season. The season was fired.

The signing of Pederson or rather the sacking of Meyer – means that many now believe. That the Jaguars will be better by adding and subtracting. As soon as Ingram stepped through the door, he felt a breath of fresh air.

“The first day I was there, I felt like everyone’s energy was different,” said Engram.

“All the new players are excited to hear what the team went through last year and it’s been very difficult for them. There’s new energy with a fresh start and it’s the same situation I’m in, so it’s a perfect game. Leg The people who were there welcomed our newcomers and helped us with everything we needed – even the defenders!”

There will also be an additive element when it comes to a new head coach. Pederson was certainly not slack: He led the Philadelphia Eagles to the franchise’s first championship. When they defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII, making him. One of only four other players to win a championship player and head coach.

Pederson likes to run a tight and friendly program, which certainly drew Engram to Florida. Under Pederson, the Eagles’ tight end led the NFL with 8.2 receptions per game from 2016 to 2020. While serving as offensive coordinator under Andy Reid. Kansas City Chiefs Travis Kelce still played a key role in the turnout.

Engram is ready to team up with Pederson after years of playing against Pederson in the NFC East.

He added: “I am excited to build chemistry with him and feel comfortable in his world. As I identify with his culture and execute his plan. We become the Doug Peterson team. He is a Super Bowl champion and we hope to reach that level.”

The crunch is often a complex part of the crime, with multiple roles and responsibilities. Making for a steep learning curve when exchanging playbooks. Engram — who chose free agency with the Jaguars over the New York Jets. So he could experience a change in the landscape — is often deployed. As a blocker rather than a modern catcher at the end of the 2021 season. NFL London Broncos vs Jaguars fans to buy Denver Broncos vs Jacksonville Jaguars Tickets from our website.

The 27-year-old has made no secret of his affiliations. But he has gone the extra mile and insisted that he will do whatever it takes to help the team. Engram stated: “I will do what the coach asks me to do. I like the running line, the down and the open, and I know I will have plenty of opportunities to do that. But when asked to block, it’s time to get dirty Yes, of course, I do.

Engram has taken time to ensure the two have a productive relationship
Engram has taken time to ensure the two have a productive relationship

“I feel like I’m at my best when I’m upfront, opening up my pace and running. There are a lot of opportunities in this attack, we can move a lot of people. I can play outside or inside – there is no limit to creative attack. There is still a lot of work to do to perfect and master my role. But we will have plenty of time this season. Jacksonville is a great environment for me. So I hope I can stay healthy and add some to my resume Sweet execution.”

The man who will help Engram complete his resume is Trevor Lawrence. The quarterback is entering his second season, and many are hoping, He will find form after putting up with Meyer in 2021. Engram has taken time to ensure the two have a productive relationship.

“We put a lot of effort into it. So, e work every day, we perform in practice, we watch movies together – we spend time together off the field and get to know each other when we hang out,” she continued.

“We went to Las Vegas for the draft because it’s important to know your teammates on and off the field. Trevor is a nice guy, very laid back and down to earth, but loves his job.”

Looks like Engram has found a home in the Sunshine State, enjoying his time with Pederson, Lawrence and the rest of the Jaguars hungry for victory after a horrific experience. Don’t worry if the tight end develops a telepathic relationship with his rejuvenated quarterback – Engram will shine.

Lewis Hamilton gains ownership stake in NFL Denver Broncos

Broncos Vs Jaguars: Lewis Hamilton gains ownership stake in NFL Denver Broncos

Lewis Hamilton seven-time Formula 1 world champion has participated in the NFL Denver Broncos ownership group, the squad announced on Tuesday. Rob Walton stated the adding of Hamilton as an incomplete shareholder in a declaration on behalf of the Walton-Penner Family Ownership Group. “Hamilton is a championship contender who knows how to lead a winning team and is a staunch advocate for global equality, including in his own sport,” Walton said in the statement.

“With more than 100 race wins, Lewis is regarded as the most successful F1 driver of all time. His tenacity and standard of excellence will be an asset to the ownership group and the Broncos organization.”

To buy the team from Patrick D the Walton-Penner Group agreed last month. Bowlen Trust for £3.81 billion ($4.65 billion) in the world’s most expensive sports franchise deal, more than £2.5 billion ($ 3.1 billion) to sell Chelsea this year to a US-led consortium led by Todd Boehly, co-owner of Los Angeles Dodgers.

British Airways chairman Martin Broughton

In April, led by former British Airways chairman Martin Broughton to buy Chelsea Hamilton and tennis star Serena Williams joined a consortium, one of the last three offers on the select. But it was left out after it relied on 500 million pounds ($611 million) in loans from three US banks.

Broncos’ star quarterback Russell Wilson celebrated the addition of Hamilton to the team before practice yesterday. Wilson and his wife Ciara were guests of Hamilton’s Mercedes team during the Monaco Grand Prix this year.

Hamilton’s 103 Grand Prix wins are the most in F1 history and he becomes the third limited shareholder to join the three-time Super Bowl championship group after Condoleezza Rice who from 2005 to 2009 was Mellody Hobson, co-CEO of Ariel Investments and chairman of Starbucks.

The Denver Broncos ownership group is led by Walton, which includes his daughter Carrie Walton Penner and her husband Greg Penner. From 1992 until his retirement in 2015 Walton was chairman of Walmart, the world’s biggest retailer. He is the eldest son of founders Sam and Helen Walton and has an estimated net worth of nearly £49 billion ($60 billion).

The NFL is expected to fully approve the purchase agreement with the Walton-Penner Group at its league meeting next Tuesday in Minneapolis. The latest step after approval from the league’s finance committee last week.

Sir Lewis Hamilton takes the Broncos to the world

The Denver Broncos had their most exciting outdoor season since chasing Peyton Manning in 2012.

From the signing of Nathaniel Hackett as head coach to Russell Wilson’s trade with the Seahawks to the change of ownership. The Broncos national team has seen the biggest change in permit history in just many months. NFL London Broncos vs Jaguars fans to buy Broncos vs Jaguars Tickets from our website.

Plus the newest member of the ownership group is to take over when the league gives final approval. Lewis Hamilton.

Some may call him the greatest driver in history, with his 7 Formula 1 world championships. Others may call him an advocate for human rights and positive change around the world. Others may call him overrated and hypocritical. In England, across the ocean, he was known as Sir Lewis.

After a successful junior career in karting in England. His success ultimately gave him the opportunity to take him all the way to the pinnacle of motorsport, which is F1 racing. He successfully followed him to F1, his first drive was with McLaren in 2007 winning the World Championship in his second season.

In 2013 he switched to Mercedes. He won six more world titles, including four in a row from 2017 to 2020.

Lewis Hamilton Formula 1

In recent years he has become a worldwide icon. Many Americans don’t realize how many famous athletes there are around the world, so they have a lot of influence. Hamilton became a strong supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement. As the only black driver in F1, he has dealt with racing problems throughout his career (no pun intended).

Hamilton became a strong supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement

That made him a division in the sports world. He has many supporters and the F1 community supports him. However, some fans see him as a qualified athlete. They sacrificed his fame by pointing out the hypocrisy of speaking out on global issues. While taking advantage of sponsorships like Petronas. Which seems to be at the centre of human rights issues and violations in the world the middle. Feel free to start the Netflix series Drive to Survive

I love Formula 1, but I rest comfortably (though not often frustrated) at Scuderia Ferrari’s training camp. I go all out against Lewis every week. Still, his global reputation will be part of improving the NFL’s standing around the world. I’ll let you judge how you feel about him. However, this addition to the ownership group marks something the NFL has been working on for years. World Supremacy.

Russell Wilson

You may recall that Russell Wilson promoted the sport in Europe, especially in London. He was seen sitting in the Mercedes section with his wife Ciara in Monaco. There is a clear connection between the Broncos’ new QB and one of the greatest racers in history.

It was interesting to see the relevance of Wilson pulling the Broncos back into the league since George Paton was traded for Wilson. His hype videos and European summer tours are great fodder for hungry Broncos nations looking to regain their glory. I can’t say whether Wilson took the time to recruit Hamilton as part of the team. But it probably didn’t hurt that he spent some time with the F1 driver this summer.

Adding Hamilton to the Broncos could indicate an increase in Denver’s presence in England. Because of his influence, many fans will be drawn to the Broncos National Team. The Broncos also play a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on October 30. NFL London Broncos vs Jaguars fans to buy Denver Broncos vs Jacksonville Jaguars Tickets from our website.

The NFL is becoming a global sport. The Broncos can be at the forefront of growing the sport worldwide. Lewis Hamilton could help lift Denver to the top of the global fan base.

Jacksonville Jaguar's protection Ayo Oyelola took a much different trail to the NFL

Broncos vs Jaguars: Jacksonville Jaguar’s protection Ayo Oyelola took a much different trail to the NFL

Earlier this week, the Jacksonville Jaguars kicked off training camp for the 2022 NFL season with a slew of new faces in the organization. A new addition that Jaguars fans may not be familiar with this year is safety Ayo Oyelola. Originally from Dagenham, a small town in East London, England, Oyelola took a very different path to the NFL than most players in the league. NFL London fans to buy NFL London Tickets from our website.

Oyelola, 23, who played college rugby at the University of Nottingham in England, was assigned to the Jaguars in May through the International Players Pathway program.

Jaguars fans may not be familiar with this year’s safety Ayo Oyelola

The International Players Pathway (IPP) program was first established in 2017 to “provide elite international athletes with the opportunity to compete at the NFL level, improve their skills, and ultimately earn a place on the NFL roster.”

The Jaguars can keep Ayo Oyelola on the roster until the end of training camp. If Jacksonville decides to keep him after training camp. The team will be exempted from international player practice. This gives the Jaguars an extra practice team member. During the regular season, Oyelola can also be promoted from the exhibition team to the active roster.

Before being assigned to Jaguars, Ayo Oyelola last season played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League, the eventual winners of the Grey Cup.

He also joined the 2021 International Players Tunnel training phase. Which allows international athletes to showcase their talents to NFL scouts. But was not assigned to an NFL team last season.

To learn more about Oyelola’s background, skills and journey to the NFL. Big Cat Country reached out to some of his college coaches in Nottingham.

Learn more about Oyelola and the University of Nottingham program

Nottingham’s head football coach Jason Scott knew right away that Oyelola could be a great player.

“You can see talent from miles away, the way athletes run, the way they behave. The way they move it’s one thing that immediately stands out (about Oyelola). Ayo is fast his acceleration is ridiculous and He’s fearless. Everything you want from a defender.”

UoN defensive coordinator Ben Davies agrees. Oyelola’s athleticism and speed were immediately noticeable.

“Ayo was a gifted athlete when he joined the team fit, strong and very fast,” Davies said.

“If he’s a little reserved, he’s always open to a coach and has an undeniable drive to do the best he can in every training session and every game.”

Ayo Oyelola

American football is not very corporate in the UK. It is considered a niche sport there and opportunities to play and learn the sport are scarce. The level of competition is significantly lower than in the United States.

However, the University of Nottingham is one of the best football programs in the UK, with the experienced coaching staff to teach players how to play and, in the case of Oyelola. Even pursue professional football at the highest level. NFL London Broncos vs Jaguars fans to buy Broncos vs Jaguars Tickets from our website.

Scott, Davies and the rest of the staff quickly made the Nottingham project one of the elite teams in the British University and College Sports (BUCS) competition.

After playing, Scott coached for six years at Loughborough University and then five seasons at Endicott College (NCAA Division III) in Beverly, Massachusetts.

He will then coach for one season at Mississippi State. At Starkville, Scott teamed up with Deshea Townsend, the current Jacksonville coordinator and cornerback coach.

Before being hired by the University of Nottingham, Scott returned to England and served as the defensive coordinator for the Tamworth Phoenix, helping the team win the senior national championship in 2017. He is also the head coach of the British national team.

Scott gave some background on Nottingham’s plan:

“The University of Nottingham has been one of the most successful teams in the BUCS competition in recent years, winning two conference titles in the last three years and a trip to the national final in the summit,” he said.

“These staff took over in 2017 when UoN was still in Division 1. So we oversaw one promotion and one championship game in five seasons.”

The University of Nottingham football program began in the 1990s as an offshoot of the ‘Nottingham Outlaws team. Now Nottingham has several graduate players coming to the UK from US universities like Syracuse University, Lehigh University, Penn State University, North Carolina State University and Bucknell University.

Other teams in the BUCS competition have brought in multiple scholarship players from North America. Some rosters can include five to 12 American players. But Scott’s Nottingham project focuses on developing British talent first and will then use North American talent. Two to three grants. “Quality Leader” from America

“The quality of football is very high. The coaching at UoN is very good and our facilities are among the best in the UK,” said Scott.

“It is an ideal fertile ground for young players who are new to the sport.

“We are very proud of our project in Nottingham. We have a thriving team that is getting better and better,” continued Scott. “As we go into the 2023 season, we expect to have a roster of about 140 players. Many of whom have never played before entering college.”

What will Oyelola bring to the Jaguars?

So, what will Oyelola bring him? Despite his inexperience, he is an incredible athlete with all the physical attributes an NFL coach looks for. Most importantly, Scott said, Oyelola was a great teammate and a better person.

The University of Nottingham football program began in the 1990s as an offshoot
The University of Nottingham football program began in the 1990s as an offshoot

“His physical strengths are obvious – he’s explosive, fast and aggressive. But his real strengths are in him as a person,” Scott said of Oyelola.

“He’s a pure teammate, he’s someone you want to be with when you’re in trouble. He’ll bring the team together – celebrate wins. He helps cheer people up when things aren’t going well. Although his skills are great what sets him apart is his character.”

As stated, Oyelola is very primitive and hasn’t played football for a long time. The level of competition he faced in the UK was nothing like what he faced every day in the NFL. Everyone on the field was a top athlete and one of the best in the world.

However, Scott believes that Oyelola will be able to adjust quickly to the NFL level.

“(Ayo) has improved so much because he’s never been complacent. He’s played hard and driven to be the best, the best player,” added Scott.

“In that (NFL) environment, he will learn a lot, and you will see constant growth. I think he will continue to develop at an incredible pace. During his time in Jacksonville – his coaches will love him. Because he brings the focus to detail and how hard he works.”

Ben Davies

For Davies, he believes Oyelola’s speed on the pitch sets him apart. He also brought up Oyelola’s fearlessness and competitiveness against larger foes.

“Ayo’s greatest strength at Nottingham is definitely his speed,” said Davies.

“Being able to get closer to the ball faster than anyone expected would be a winning match. He definitely showed the strength and ferocity it takes to take on players much bigger than him.

“One of the things we worked on in college is his body positioning in tackles, which converts speed into power; I’m sure this is an area that Ayo has been able to develop since he entered the NFL IPP.”
